Vinita Nair
In July of 2004 she was hired by the station covering a number of news stories, including the probe into the death of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings that occurred in Bailey, Colorado. Nair began working for ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. As a reporter she anchors live news reports and coverage for ABC's network on the internet. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now, America This Morning as well as ABC's digital networks beginning on September 17th of 2008 until February 18th, 2011. She co-hosted with Jeremy Hubbard and later Rob Nelson on both programs. The 17th of February in 2011, Nair declared that Friday, February 18, would be her final night of air at World News Now. Her final day with ABC News would be Friday the 18th of February. The former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her successor immediately. World News Now, February 18, featured three tributes to Nair. Both former and current coworkers appeared on the segment. In her last day she treated her entire crew to breakfast.
